Is chromatotherapy real?

The French doctor Christian Agrapart (neuropsychiatrist and acupuncture practitionner) discovered chromatotherapy. This video of a conference he gave is tranlated in English. His website (you’ll have to use a translator for the English langage) is here. Dr. Agrapart is a true reference in the field of chromatotherapy. Friends of mine who study his method have witnessed amazing healings.

A few words about Dr. Agrapart’s chromatotherapy

His key discovery has been the wavelength of the colored light that needs to be used in order to heal. One can imagine how huge this work of compiling wavelengths for all known illnesses must have been.

Dr Agrapart uses several healing methods ;

  • sending of colored light on the part of the body that needs healing;
  • sending of colored light on acupunture points in order to heal meridiens;

Ayurvedic medicine is based on the idea that the world is made up of five elements — aakash (space), jala (water), prithvi (earth), teja (fire), and vayu (air).

A combination of each element results in three humors, or doshas, known as vata, kapha, and pitta. These doshas are believed to be responsible for a person’s physiological, mental, and emotional health.

Every person is said to have a unique ratio of each dosha, usually with one standing out more than the others. For example, a person may be mostly pitta while another may be mostly vata. An Ayurvedic practitioner can help you determine your dosha.

A person’s unique ratio of vata, kapha, and pitta is said to define their Ayurvedic constitution, a blueprint to achieve optimal health.

Principal properties of the three doshas (text from here)

VATA – ETHER AND AIR
Vata (pronounced Waata) consists of the elements ether (space) and air. Vata stands for movement, which can easily be imagined by watching moving air sweep across the land like a storm.
The properties of Vata: dry, light, cold, mobile, rough, fast, subtle.
PITTA – FIRE AND WATER
Pitta consists mainly of fire and very little water. Pitta stands for the principle of combustion, which can most easily be imagined with the digestive fire that burns in every human being. Digestion, in turn, stands for the principle of metabolism.
The properties of Pitta: hot, pungent, light, fluid, slightly oily, mobile.
KAPHA – WATER AND EARTH
Kapha (pronounced kaffa) consists of water and earth. These two elements make excellent building materials, such as clay. If you have ever built a castle on the beach with wet sand, you have already held the principle of Kapha in your hands: it is the principle of structure that Kapha embodies.
The properties of Kapha: smooth, oily, heavy, solid, cold, inert.
